Half the reason I bought a new cage!

Posted by Troy on Jan 23rd 2020

It's true. I had a great custom cage, but it didn't have a windshield. I was always in the camp of wanting to have the wind blow through my hair as I drive my SXS. I mean, if I wanted a windshield, I'd just buy a Jeep! But, I also really liked the styling of the Vent Racing Coupe Cage. So... The great thing about this windshield is the thin bezel. Most aftermarket glass windshields have a thick bezel that make you feel like you're looking through the passenger window on a commercial airplane. This bezel is so thin you don't even notice its there. But, there is no comparison between the optic quality between glass and polycarbonate. Sure, glass is more fragile than plastic, but it's so worth having a better viewing experience. Next, the way it mounts to the cage is so user friendly. Permanent mounts to the A pillars make it a snap to take on and off to give you that "wind in the hair" feeling or to work on the machine. One of the things I didn't expect was how much of a difference having a windshield was on how much more effective my Rugged Radios are. Without the wind interference, I can dial in the settings on the radio to play music louder without having to almost yell to get the mic to pick up my voice. It really makes the system perform as designed. Ultimately, I love the windshield and the awesome company behind it. My only regret is that I waited so long to buy it!
